Gematria

Gematria is a system of assigning numerical values to words or phrases in order to find hidden meanings in words and texts. It originated in ancient Babylon and was later adopted by other cultures, including the Greeks and Hebrews. In Babylon, gematria was used for various purposes, such as divination, astrology, and magic.

Gematria is not to be confused with Numerology. While both Gematria and Numerology involve assigning numerical values to words or symbols, they are distinct practices.

Numerology

  • Focuses on the numerical values of names, birth dates, and other personal data to reveal character traits, life paths, and future trends.
  • Typically uses a reduced system, where numbers are often reduced to single digits for interpretation.

Gematria

  • Primarily used to find hidden meanings or connections within texts, often religious or sacred texts.
  • Assigns numerical values to letters based on their alphabetical position.
  • Can involve complex calculations and interpretations, often seeking deeper spiritual or esoteric insights.

In essence, Numerology is more predictive and personality-oriented, while Gematria is interpretive and focused on finding hidden meanings. This makes gematria a key part of the 47 experience due to its ability to reveal hidden meanings and connections.

Many years ago, while researching the 2012 end of the Mayan calendar awakening, I read an article that mentioned gematria. I was curious and began to search the internet for a gematria calculator. My research led me to this website www.gematrix.org. The calculator generates 3 types of results. Hebrew Gematria, English Gematria, & Simple Gematria. I began entering names, words and phrases. When I entered my name I was shocked!

My name Peter Cardenas in Hebrew Gematria equals 474 & in English Gematria equals 774.

I knew at this moment 47 was connected to me in a special way. I knew I had to do something with this knowledge. Welcome to The 47 Experience.
