A Prophetic Turning Point in History—1947

On November 29, 1947, the world witnessed a moment that would shape destiny. The United Nations adopted Resolution 181, a bold and historic decision to end the British Mandate and divide the land into two states—one Jewish, one Arab. This paved the way for the rebirth of a nation long scattered and persecuted.

Just months later, on May 14, 1948, Israel declared its independence, rising from the ashes of exile and the horrors of the Holocaust. Against overwhelming odds, the ancient promise to Abraham and the prophets came to life in the modern age.

But the signs of divine alignment didn’t stop there. In 1947, the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered, hidden for centuries in the caves of Qumran. These sacred texts, some over 2,000 years old, reemerged just as the Jewish people were returning to their ancestral land—a powerful symbol of restoration, truth, and prophecy fulfilled.

This is a photo of the Israeli flag raised by Eleazar (Spiegel) Shafrir upon hearing the results of the vote in the UN on 29 November 1947 approving the creation of the State of Israel. It was not just the lifting of a flag—it was the lifting of a dream, the birth of a nation, and the fulfillment of ancient words spoken long ago.

1947 was more than a year of political change. It was a year of prophetic awakening.
A call to the world that God’s promises do not fade—and that history is still guided by the hand of the Divine.

‘Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When the Lord restores his people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!’
